IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael J. " Mike "
Morley
October 24, 1960 – August 19, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michael J Morley. Son of John and Noreen Morley, known as "Mike" by many. Raised in Melrose with brother John (Jack) Morley and beloved sister Theresa Capodilupo (Morley).
Mike will be grieved by his loving children Meagan Parker (Morley), Michael Morley, Kate Morley, Kelsea Morley. He will be remembered proudly by his precious grandchildren Makaela Vertigans, Alexis Morley, William Parker, and Oliver Westermann.
Mike was a fun loving father and friend, above all else he was a hard worker. He worked as a senior lineman for Verizon telephone company for 40 years. He raised his children in his childhood home on Upham Street with his ex wife Penny Graves. He coached his son's little league team, attended many dance recitals always ready with flowers, plays, and chorus concerts over the years. He loved camping, the Red Sox, Bonsai tree training, Gardening of all kinds, carpentry, and treasure hunting at Oak Island.
He enjoyed spending time with many household pets over the years, often found with a treat or two in his pocket just in case he came across a "good boy".
All who knew Mike knew a true friend and clever comedian. We will miss his chuckling grimace, most of all the well timed witty quote. His legacy as a dedicated father, fiercely loyal friend, reliability and integrity will live on in us forever.
"It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folks that keeps the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." - Gandalf JRR Tolkien
Funeral services will be private.
