Michael J. ODonnell died at home on Sat. May 4th at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Charlestown, graduated from Boston School of Commerce and then served in the US Navy during WWII. After his discharge from the Navy he graduated from Boston College. Michael worked for the US Government as a contract administrator in the Navy Dept. for over 30yrs working mainly with the Raytheon Company. Mike was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Melrose and a longtime member of St. Marys Church. He was the husband of Cecilia M. (Meuse) ODonnell. Father of Michael J. ODonnell & his wife Christine of FL and Stephanie M. Taylor & her husband Cameron of CT. Grandfather of Kristin Sloane of Washington DC. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. May 8th at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited.
