Michael J. Pawlak, of Melrose, died at home on Sept. 17, 2013 at the age of 60. Michael was born in Chelsea, raised in Melrose, a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1971 and went to attend Bentley College. He was an avid reader & sports fan and enjoyed bowling and the outdoors. Michael was very family oriented and loved to spend his time with his many nieces &nephews. He was the loving son of Alfred J. & Alice C (Tarpinian) Pawlak. Caring brother of Kathleen A. Lynch & her husband Stephen of Swampscott, Maureen T. Pawlak, Eileen M. Preble & her husband Edward, all of Melrose and Kevin A. Pawlak & his wife Susan of N. Reading. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces & great nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, Sept. 24th at 8AM. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
