Michelina "Mickey" (Rozzi) Bruno passed away at the Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea on Thursday, February 25, 2010. She was 83 years of age. Michelina was born in Boston on July 22, 1926, was raised in East Boston and attended East Boston Schools. Mrs. Bruno moved to Chelsea in 1952, lived in Chelsea for over 30 years before moving to Stoneham in 1985. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished the times spent with her family; she enjoyed bowling and was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Chelsea. The Bruno family would like to thank the nursing staff and her friends at Eastpointe for the loving care shown to Michelina. Mrs. Bruno was the beloved wife of the late Carmelo C. Bruno. Loving Mother of Grace DiFilippo & her husband Carmen of Everett, Joseph Bruno & his wife Karen of Bourne, Michael Bruno & his wife Marie of Melrose and Carl Bruno & his wife Sheila of Everett. Grandmother of Anthony DiFilippo, Karen D'Arco & her husband John, Nicholas, Gina, Eric, Michael Jr., Tim, Peter & Christina Bruno. Great grandmother of Jessica, Andrew, Lauren, Benjamin & Alison. Sister of Theresa Bourque & her husband Joseph of FL and the late Carmella DiGiovanni, Betina Labossier, Vincenzo & Carmen Rozzi. Sister-in-law of Jennie & Joe Gulizia and Joseph Bruno. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday March 1st at 7:45AM. Funeral Mass in St. Rose Church, 601 Broadway Chelsea, at 9:00AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 3:00-8:00PM. Interment at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Everett.
