Michelle McGuire of Wakefield, formerly of Melrose, died on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. She was only 40 years old. Born on April 8, 1970 in Cambridge, she was raised in Melrose and a 1989 graduate of Melrose High School. Michelle worked as an office manager with Thyssen Elevator for 10 years. She enjoyed her family, dancing, going out to clubs with her friends, cookouts, traveling & her dog "Ziggy" & the late "Max". She was the loving daughter of Mary L. (Hardy) McGuire of Malden & Joseph L. McGuire & his wife Linda of Peabody. Caring sister of Joseph R. McGuire, Sr. & his wife Marlene of Manchester, NH, Mary E. Turner & her husband Scott of Milton, Maureen M. McGuire & her boyfriend Brian Williams of Melrose & the late Steven "Zeke" McGuire. Cherished Aunt of Joseph R. McGuire, Jr, Sydney, Jason & Courtney Turner, Zachary McGuire & Eric McManus. Also survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W.
