Mildred M. (LeBlanc) Babin passed away at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose , on May 1st, , she was 87. Millie was born in Charlestown, brought up in Everett, graduated from Everett High and lived in Everett for 31 years. She was a homemaker and a resident of Melrose for the past 57 years. Millie was a dedicated parishioner at St. Marys Church in Melrose, where she served as head of the Alter Society, a 50 year member of St. Marys Ladies Sodality, a girls scout leader for 15 years and a den mother for Cub Scouts at St. Marys Church. She was the wife of the late Bernard L. Babin. Mother of Ronald B. Babin, Paul R. Babin & his wife Elin all of Melrose, Lorraine Gerry & her husband Gene of Tewksbury. Sister of Irene Clements of Auburn. Grandmother of Michael Gerry & his wife Anne, Mark Gerry & his wife Amanda, Nicole, Courtney & Seth Babin. Great grandmother of Brooke & Crystal Gerry. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. May 4th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited.
