Mildred A. (Tryder) Morrissey passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on November 12, 2019, she was 87 years of age. Mildred was born and raised in Charlestown, graduated from Charlestown High School, lived in Everett & Malden for a few years, Melrose from 1966-2015 and the past 4 years in Beverly.
Mrs. Morrissey was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Mildred enjoyed going to bingo and was well known for her luck for winning all the time. She had an interest in politics and enjoyed taking bus trips with her husband Richard. Mrs. Morrissey was an avid reader, especially mystery books until losing her eyesight. Thanks to the Perkins School for the Blind she was able to continue with her books thru their Talking Library.
Mildred was the beloved wife of Richard M. Morrissey. Loving mother of Marie Ebersole of Natick, Jeanne Gamble of Beverly, Richard Morrissey & his wife Maureen of Nottingham, NH, and Christine Morrissey of Beverly. Cherished grandmother of Jay Ebersole & his wife Emma of Attleboro. Sister of Dottie McDonald of Newburyport. Special Aunt of Robert Tryder as well as numerous other nieces & nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 16th at 9:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose. 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the Mass at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
