Mildred B.(Brown) Walsh, of Melrose, formerly of Wakefield, died at the Kirkwood Nursing Home in Wakefield on July 20th at the age of 85. Mildred was born in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1937. She was a Homemaker and volunteered at the Senior Center in Melrose for several years, Mildred was the wife of the late Alexander D. Walsh. Sister of John Leo Brown, Frances McKenzie and Florence Kulacz all of Wakefield and the late Lillian Melanson, William, Roy, Edward and Lawrence Brown. Aunt of Karen & Alan Morrell of Ipswich, Susan & Walter Schott of NH as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday July 23rd at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral mass on Friday morning from 8:309:30AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
