Nancy L. (Kemp) Busby passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on July 3, 2016. She was 83 years of age. Nancy was born in East Boston on May 20, 1933 to the late Walter & Edna (Adams) Kemp. She was raised in East Boston, attended East Boston Schools and moved to Melrose in 1961. Nancy was a homemaker who loved to cook, entertain, and spend time with friends and family. She was also a member of the Moose Family Center in Woburn. Mrs. Busby was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late George T. Busby. Loving mother of Donna L. Connolly & her husband Thomas Jr. of Sanford, ME and Patricia A. Waters & her husband Daniel of Swampscott. Devoted grandmother of Alicia Rowe & her husband Steven, Heather Miller, Stephanie Waters, Thomas Connolly III, Jeffrey Connolly & Matthew Connolly. Cherished great grandmother of Dylan Connolly, Christopher & Samantha Rowe. Caring sister of the late Elizabeth O'Connor, Barbara Surette and Jo-Ann Keyes. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, July 6th from 4:00-7:00PM. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Thursday July 7th at 9:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
