Nancy J. (Hamilton) Rautenberg died at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Monday July 21st at the age of 46. Nancy was born in Malden, raised in Plainfield, NJ and moved to Wilmington, MA in her senior year of high school. She graduated from Wilmington High School and has been living in Melrose the past 15 years. Nancy worked as a legal secretary for several law firms in Boston for the past 24 years. She volunteered at Angel Flight, was an animal lover & activist and was an avid reader. Nancy was the author of a children's book and was presently waiting for the book to be published. She was the wife of Paul F. Rautenberg. Daughter of Richard C. & Rose E. (McGerity) Hamilton of Wakefield. Stepmother of Shannon Rautenberg of Melrose & Melissa Rautenberg of Boston. Daughter-in-law of Mary F. Rautenberg of Hyde Park. Sister of Barbara Hakioglu of Wakefield and Ann MacKenzie of TX. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and a grandniece. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. July 24th at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM.
