Nicholas J.Falcione, 81, died thursday night at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, he had lived most of his life in Medford and had resided in Melrose for the past 14 years. Nicholas was a Bartender for many years in the Taverns and Restaurants in the North Station area of Boston and retired in 1983. He was the son of the late John & Carmella ( DiGiovanni ) Falcione. Father of the late Nicholas J. Falcione Jr and his wife Donna of Plymouth. Devoted companion of Marilyn Columbo of Wakefield. Brother of John Falcione of Medford, Anne Griffin of N. Reading and Dorothy Rileyof Medford. Also survived by 2 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. Funeral Services will be held in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St Melrose on Mon July 29 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery.
