Norma Faye (Aldridge) Ferraro, of Wilmington, formerly of Melrose, died at the Woodbriar Nursing Home on July 4, 2011 at the age of 87. Norma was born in Sylvian, OK, raised in Seminole, OK and a graduate of Seminole High School. She resided in Melrose for 58 years, 3 years in Salem, NH and the past 2 years in Wimington. Norma enjoyed Geneology, gardening, knitting, sewing and spending time with her family. She was the Past President of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, Faneuil Hall - Old State House Chapter, former Cub Scout Leader and a founding member of the Church of Christ in Melrose. She worked for the City of Melrose in the Recreational Department for 17 years. Norma was the beloved wife of Antonio J. Ferraro. Loving mother of Toni l. White of Melrose, Vincent A. Ferraro & his wife Priscilla Mandrachia of South Hadley and James P. Ferraro & his wife Ann of Wilmington. Caring sister of Hubert & Orval Aldridge. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Melrose Church of Christ, 409 Upham St., Melrose on Thursday July 7th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
