Norma Jean (Murray)Slazinik Owen passed away at home, in Melrose, on April 30th, she was 76. Norma was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, she lived in Illinois, Southern Illinois, NJ and the past year in Melrose. She was a homemaker and had formerly worked for John Hancock Insurance Company for 10 years. Norma was the devoted mother of Linda Beardsley & her husband Bill of Melrose, Edward Slazinik & his wife Carole of Illinois, Susan Szalanski & her husband John, Ronald Slazinik all of FL, Daniel Slazinik of TX, Timothy Slazinik & his partner John, Mary Elizabeth Tews all of CT and Steven Slazinik of Melrose. Sister of Bonnie Henry of Illinois. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Saturday May 7th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
