Norman G. Jeffrey passed away in Delray Beach, Florida on Monday, May 11, 2009. He was 88 years of age. Norman was born in Lynn, MA to the late Louise & Flora (Pheiffer) Jeffrey. He was raised in Lynn and graduated from high school in Lynn. Mr. Jeffrey served in the US Army during WWII from July 7, 1943 to February 18, 1946. Norman lived in Melrose for over 25 years, Charlotte, North Carolina for a few years and the past several years in Delray Beach, Florida. Mr. Jeffrey worked as a stationary engineer for the Schrafts Candy Company in Charlestown for 43 years and was a member of the 25-year club at Schrafts. He worked for the 1st National Bank of Boston for 6 years, retiring in 1976.Norman was a devoted member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. Mr. Jeffrey was the husband of the late Gertrude E. (Hardy) Jeffrey. Brother of Lillian Garniss, Hazel Hobbs & Elsie Dinsmore. A funeral Mass will be held at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, on Friday, May 15th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
