Olga L. (Spadafora) Emanuel passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. She was 85 years of age. Born in Melrose to the late Serafino & Palmina (Colella) Spadafora, she was raised in Melrose and attended Melrose Schools. Mrs. Emanuel was a devoted mother, a loving sister and aunt to all her family. Olga worked as a stitcher at Moultons Curtains in Melrose for over 20 years. She loved to attend family cookouts, yard sales, flea markets and all the simple things in life. Olga liked planting flowers and enjoyed her Wednesday lunches at her sister Lena's house. Beloved mother of Geri Wensing & her husband Helge of Stoneham, Jackie Emanuel of Melrose & the late Janie Emanuel. Former wife of the late Nicholas Emanuel. Loving sister of Lena DiNardi of Melrose, Frank Spadafora & Cynthia McQueen both of Saugus and the late Henry, Alphonso, Dante, Joseph Spadafora and Florence Ricker. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, July 24th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery at a later date.
