Orestes H. "Ress" St. Vincent passed away at the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Melrose, on March 24, 2009; he was 95 years of age. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, raised in Pittsburgh, graduated from South Hills High School and worked at C.I.S Steel Inc. for 3 years before entering WWII. Orestes served in the US Navy for 3 years during WWII. Mr. St. Vincent moved to Melrose in 1955 and has been a resident ever since. Ress owned and operated the Village Green Insurance Company in Reading for over 20 years and then worked for Mahoney & Wright Insurance Company in Wakefield for several years. He enjoyed playing tennis in Melrose & Winchester all year long up until the age of 93, was a member of the Melrose Tennis Association and was an avid reader who enjoyed visiting the Melrose Public Library. Mr. St. Vincent was the husband of the late Deborah J. (Hanson) St. Vincent. Father of Michael St.Vincent of Melrose and his companion Joan Angelosanto of Stoneham and Timothy St. Vincent & his wife Dawn of Wakefield. Also survived by 3 nephews.
