Obituary

Palma "Pam" Furno, of Saugus, died at her home on Aug. 28, 2009 at the age of 94. Pam was born in Boston, raised in Everett and attended Everett High School. She lived in Everett until 1956 and resided the past 53 years in Saugus. Pam worked as an Inspector for the Charleston Chew Company in Everett for many years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in Saugus. Pam was the Matriarch of her family and they were the most important to her. She enjoyed crocheting and was a talented seamstress. Pam was the beloved wife of 66 years to the late George Furno. Sister of Frank Gagliardi & his wife Ellie of Revere, Esther Cataruzolo & her late husband Frank of Saugus, the late Dave Gagliardi, Gemma Carrabis & her husband Anthony and Dante Gagliardi & his wife Florence. Sister in law of Rae DiBlasio & the late Joseph Raso and Lillian & Anna Gagliardi Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday Aug 31st at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
