Panteleone J. "Leo" Siciliano passed away at the Epoch of Melrose on July 2, 2014 at the age of 69. Leo was born in Revere on May 25, 1945 to the late Alfred & Maria (Terenzio) Siciliano. He was raised in Revere, graduated from Revere High School where he was an excellent baseball player. Mr. Siciliano has been a resident of Melrose for the past 27 years. Leo started his career owning several cold cut stores in Revere before becoming an insurance sales agent. He worked for John Hancock Insurance Company for over 20 years and for Boston Mutual Insurance Company for 12 years. Leo had a passion for baseball, was a baseball coach at the Churchill American Little League in Melrose for many years and has been instrumental in raising money for the Churchill American Little League. He also coached in the Melrose Babe Ruth League, for the Babe Ruth League in Medford and as a basketball coach for a few years at the Melrose YMCA. Mr. Siciliano was very generous with his time and spirit, had a wonderful way with coaching kids and a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by those that knew him and all the children he coached throughout the years. Leo was the beloved husband of 25 years to Laura "Lori" (Gaglione) Siciliano. Loving father of Donna Siciliano Gagliardi & her husband John of NH, Michelle Siciliano Khan of Woburn, Marisa Siciliano & Joey Siciliano both of Melrose. Brother of Alfred Siciliano & his wife Karen of East Boston & Anthony Siciliano of Revere. Grandfather of Felicia & Michael and great grandfather of Anthony. Son-in-law of Rita Gaglione. Also survived by several, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, July 8th at 11AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 12 noon. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation Monday from 3:00-7:00PM. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Leo's name to the Churchill American Little League for the benefit of Jimmy Fund, 20 Clifton Park, Melrose, MA 02176.
