Pat (Morley) Gillis, of Melrose, formerly of Worcester, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday Feb. 6th at the age of 75. Pat was born in Boston, raised in Jamaice Plain & was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas in Jamaica Plain. She was a resident of Worcester for over 40 years and Melrose the last several years. After raising her children, Pat attended Worcester State College and received her degree in English & Library Science. She was the loving mother of Donald A. Gillis & his wife Jill Reilly of Jamaica Plain, Judith E. Gillis of Exeter, NH, Stephen A. Gillis & his wife Svetlana of Hampton, NH, Brian A. Gillis of Boston, Jane M. Gillis of Melrose, Robert A. Gillis & his wife Diane of Melrose, Michael A. Gillis of Seabrook, NH, and Joanna E. Gillis of Melrose. Cherished sister of Alice Almeida of AZ. Devoted grandmother of Austin, Megan, Sally, Sean and Alexander. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday Feb. 11th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited.
