Patricia "Marion" (Devine) Lucchetta, of Melrose, died at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose on June 5th at the age of 82. Marion was born & raised in Somerville and a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Somerville, Class of 1945. She worked as an Operator for Southern Bell & Illinois Bell for over 20 years before her retirement in 1979. Marion lived in New York, Florida & Spain before moving to Melrose in 1993. She volunteered at the Milano Senior Center in Melrose for many years and loved spending time with her friends. Marion was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose and enjoyed puzzles, reading, cape cod and traveling through Europe. She was the beloved wife of the late Duilio S. Lucchetta. Devoted sister of the late Maureen Connelly & her late husband Louis, Thomas Devine & his late wife Marie of South Boston, Ann Marrs & her husband John of SC and Sr. Marie Patrick S.N.D. of Worcester. Cherished aunt of Paula Albanese, Leslie Chakalis, Susan Kelley, Carolyn Connelly, Jennifer Gentile, John, David & Peter Marrs, Kathleen, John & Karen Devine. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday, June 8th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-5PM. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
