IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A. (Livingston)
Quinn
May 7, 1949 – December 9, 2025
Patricia A. (Livingston) Quinn, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 76 years old.
Pat was born in Jamaica, Long Island, New York. She was the beloved daughter of the late William Livingston and Loretta (Campbell), both of New York City.
Pat was the devoted wife of Robert J. Quinn. In 1974, they met at a dance at Cheers/Hampshire House in Boston while Pat was traveling with friends. In September 2025, they joyfully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Together they raised two children, Katherine Quinn of Wakefield, and Daniel Quinn and his wife Katie (Warren) of Littleton. She also leaves behind two amazing grandchildren, Jayden and Connor, who brought her great joy.
Pat was the sister of William Livingston and his wife, Susan, of Long Island, NY; the late Muriel (Livingston) Dugan and her late husband, James, of Floral Park, NY; Thomas Livingston and partner Linda, of W. Posham, VT; Loretta (Livingston) and her husband, George Eacker, of Pelham, NH; and Brian Livingston and his wife, Dedra, of Lindenhurst, NY. Pat is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Pat graduated from Holy Cross Academy in 1967. She went on to graduate from Hunter College in 1971, where her class was the second to receive a nursing degree. She was very proud of her time in Manhattan—that is where she met her best friends, Joanie and Eileen.
Pat was a lifelong nurse. She began her career in the ER in Manhattan, later worked at the Boston Jail, and then became a traveling nurse for Intercity in Malden.
In 1998, Pat received the first of many massage licenses and certificates as she transitioned into work as a spiritual healer. She became a Reiki Master and trained in other healing modalities, motivated by a deep desire to help her sister Loretta heal.
Pat loved PBS, music, college basketball, Tanglewood, gardening and talking about plants, Christmas bells, and spending time with her family.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, from 12:00PM to 2:00 PM, at Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose, MA, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 2:00PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
