Patricia A. (Brennan) Walsh passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Center on February 13, 2019. She was 94 years of age. Patricia was born in Melrose on August 24, 1924 to the late Joseph & Gertrude (Farrell) Brennan. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School. Mrs. Walsh was a lifelong resident of Melrose, a dedicated homemaker to her husband and eight children. Patricia also worked part time for Dr. Jacobovits in Melrose, at the Copley Flair Gift Shop in Boston and the Clements Dress Shop in Melrose. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church, and member of the St. Mary's Ladies Sodality, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Melrose Women's Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling to Sandwich on Cape Cod, Wells, Maine, and Drake's Island Maine as well as some trips to Ireland and Bermuda. She would spend her winters in Jupiter, FL, but would often travel to Manhattan to visit her daughter for Christmas. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel C. Walsh. Loving mother of Daniel C. Walsh Jr. & his wife Melissa Walz of Beverly, Richard Walsh & his wife Cheryl of Melrose, Julieann Alcorn & her husband Bruce of York, ME, Christopher Walsh & his wife Melanie of Melrose, David Walsh & his wife Janette of Pembroke, Maribeth Leahy & her husband David of Melrose, Jane Walsh & her husband Scott Stuart of NY and Stephen Walsh of Minnesota. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 8:30-10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose at 11:00 AM. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
