Patrick C. Baldassaro died after a long illness July 15th at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital at the age of 75. Patrick was born in Malden, raised in East Boston, graduated from Commerce High School in Boston and attended Bentley College for 2yrs. He was a Real Estate Appraiser for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 39yrs. Pat appraised properties for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 25yrs, worked as the review appraiser for all properties and set property values the last 14yrs of his career in the State of Massachusetts. He was also and insurance and real estate broker in East Boston and Melrose. He was a member of the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers, a member of K of C in East Boston, the Orient Heights Civic Club, chairperson of Leukemia Fund Raising and Past President of the AM Vets Joyce Kilmer Post # 26 in East Boston. Pat was very active in Melrose with the Kiwanis Club, he was Past President & former Board Member of the Melrose Fish & Game Club and active in the Dante Alageri Party in Cambridge as a member and fund raiser for the group. He served in the US Navy during WWII and has lived in Melrose the past 36yrs. Patrick was the husband of the late Tina N. (Gaetani) Baldassaro. Father of Patrick C. Baldassaro Jr. & his wife Deirdre of Melrose, Doreen Baldassaro of Peabody and Bernard X. Baldassaro & his wife Angela of Peabody. Brother of Beatrice Natale & her husband Jerry of Naples FL. Grandfather of Bernard X. Baldassaro II, Bianca N. Baldassaro and the late Taylor Iashia Wicker. Uncle of Kara Moscaritolo. Funeral from the Gately Funeral home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. July 20th at 8AM. Funeral mass in The Church of The Incarnation 425 Upham St. Melrose at 9AM. Relatives and freinds invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
