Patrick G. Caruso, of Melrose, died at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham on May 30, 2007 at the age of 90. Pat was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in East Boston. He was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1935, Norfolk Agricultural School and he served in the Army during WWII. Mr. Caruso lived in East Boston until 1950, Malden for 19 years and the past 36 years in Melrose. Pat worked as a farmer and also became a very successful real estate developer in Revere. Mr. Caruso was the beloved husband of the late Julia J. (Domenico) Caruso for 54 years. Loving father of Peter T. Caruso & his wife Joan of Arlington and Patricia Caruso of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Peter T. & David A. Caruso. Devoted brother of Gloria DAddario & her late husband Pat of Malden and the late Anna Elias, Antoinette Case, Louise Sacco, Mary Ricciardelli, Anthony Caruso, Celia Shoaf, Ralph Caruso and Domenic Caruso. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces & grandnephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday June 2nd at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
