Patrick A. Hartigan of Melrose, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 23, 2024, at the age of 42.

Patrick grew up in Medford, MA, and attended Austin Preparatory School for both junior high and high school. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Salem State University. A standout athlete, Patrick excelled in both baseball and basketball during his high school years. He was employed by Big T&D Trucking Company until his passing.

Above all, Patrick cherished his role as a father to his son, Tristan, who was not only his greatest joy but also his best friend.

Patrick is survived by his son Tristan and his ex-wife, Katelin Conley of Melrose; his mother, Carol McKinnon of Plymouth; and his father and stepmother, Arthur and Pauline Hartigan of Melrose. He is also survived by his brothers, Ryan Hartigan and his wife Amy of Hanover, Brett Hartigan and his wife Stefanie of Long Beach, NY; his stepbrothers, Ryan Foley of Boston, John Foley and his wife Amanda of Los Angeles, CA, and James Foley of Melrose; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, from 10:00  AM to 2:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend. Patrick's family and friends have elected to have a private ceremony following the visiting hours. Interment will be private.
