Paul A. Agresti passed away at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield, on January 19, 2015 at the age of 84. Paul was born in Boston, raised in the North End of Boston and went to work at a very young age. He lived in East Boston for 35 years and the past 14 years in Melrose. Mr. Agresti worked as a meat inspector for many years in St. Louis, Missouri for the Swift Meat Packing Company and as a chauffeur in the Boston area for many years. He was a sports fan, especially baseball & football, enjoyed his trips to Mohegan Sun with his nephew and was an excellent cook. Paul had a heart of gold, loved spending time with his extended Hallinan family and loved playing with the kids, talking and doing drawings with them. Paul was the lifelong companion of Mary Louise Hallinan of Melrose. Father of Christy Agresti & his wife Rachel of TX and Brazil, Lisa Slais & her husband Jeff of Missouri. Brother of Antoinetta Balliro, Phyllis Gaglione both of Revere and the late Mary Tenalgia, Florence Ragucci, Mafalda "Muffy" Servideo, Emma Monteforte and Christy Agresti. Grandfather of Brittany Smith, Derek Slais, Chloe Agresti & Adrianna Agresti. Also survived by his nephew Paul Servideo & his wife Janice of Stoneham as well as numerous other niece, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, January 22nd at 10AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Up ham St. Melrose at 11AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Entombment at St. Michael Mausoleum in Boston.
