Paul H. Caron, Jr., a lifelong resident of Melrose, died on May 27, 2026 at the age of 71. He was born in Malden, Ma to Charlotte (Adams) Caron & the late Paul Caron Sr., was raised in Melrose, and graduated from Melrose High School. Paul would then marry his wife, Susan (Colangeli), and settle in Melrose to raise their own family.

Paul worked in the Gas Workers Union for over thirty years. He loved music, Jimmy Buffett in particular, and was a great DJ. Paul was a huge Red Sox fan and Boston sports fan. He loved traveling to York, ME with his family and was a fantastic cook. Paul was very proud of his family and enjoyed watching his grandkids grow. He’ll be greatly missed by them all.

Paul was beloved husband of Susan (Colangeli) Caron of Melrose. The devoted son of Charlotte (Adams) Caron of Melrose, and the late Paul H. Caron. Loving father of Frederick P. Caron & his wife Kaitlyn of Woburn, and Toni-Marie Caron & her fiancée Johnny Mackenzie of Londonderry, NH. Proud grandfather of Emma, Shaylyn, Avianna, Kennedy Grace, and Freddie Jr. Caring brother of Cynthia M. Caron of Melrose, and John M. Caron of Wakefield. Paul also leaves behind his loyal dog Daisy.

Visiting Hours will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Interment to follow the mass at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
