Obituary

Paul E. Feeney III of Melrose, MA, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, at the High Point House in Haverhill, MA. He was the beloved son of the late Helen (Brussard) Feeney and Paul E. Feeney. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and unwavering love.

Paul leaves behind his son, Paul E. Feeney IV, his wife, Jillian Feeney, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Addison. He also leaves behind his loving daughter, Katie Simes, and her husband, Joel Simes, along with their two children, Connor and Cole Simes. Family was everything to Paul, and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his brothers, Edward Feeney of Auburn, John Feeney of Melrose, Mike Feeney of Seekonk, as well as his sister, Jane Wilson of Melrose. Paul now joins his late sister, Catherine Feeney. In addition to his immediate family, Paul leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Born and raised in Melrose, Paul was a proud graduate of Melrose High School and UMASS Amherst. He dedicated much of his professional life to Draper in Cambridge, where he enjoyed a long and successful career before retiring in 2020.Paul found joy in life's simple pleasures—playing cards, watching any and all sporting events, especially football on Sundays with his best friend Ron, and taking trips to Las Vegas. He was an avid golfer, a passionate card player, and loved organizing football and sporting event pools. On weekends, he could often be found on the sidelines cheering on his grandchildren at their games, playing golf, or spending time at the Fish and Game.

Paul E. Feeney will be deeply missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be cherished forever.
