Paul David Gordon, 84, of Boxford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026.
Born on May 31, 1941, in Everett, Massachusetts, to Arthur and Catherine (Cronin) Gordon, Paul spent his early years there and graduated from Everett High School. Through determination and hard work, he later earned a degree from Harvard University while working and supporting his family, an achievement of which he was very proud.
Paul began his career at the age of 18 with Paine Webber, Jackson and Curtis in Boston. Through dedication and perseverance, he remained with the firm through its later acquisition by UBS, building a long and respected career. Over 47 years, he earned many promotions and ultimately served as a Divisional Vice President and Control Officer.
Paul shared 55 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dorothy (Trepaney) Gordon. Together they raised their family in Melrose, Massachusetts, living in the same home for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Paul Gordon Jr. of Acton, Michelle Sorrentino and her husband Tony of Boxford, and Christopher Gordon and his wife Laura Vanaria of Wayland. He was predeceased by his dearly loved son, Jeffrey Gordon of Melrose. Also surviving him are his sister, Nancy Gordon, and his brother-in-law, Robert Nugent of Mashpee. Paul was a proud grandfather to Ava and Anthony Sorrentino and to Lila Gordon.
Paul enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan, a collector of many things, and someone who loved reading and learning. His curiosity, passion for knowledge, and appreciation for the unique were evident in everything he did.
Paul will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and devotion to his family. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
