Paul A. Skerry, Sr., of Melrose, formerly of Medford, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on March 18, 2014 at the age of 88. Paul was born & raised in Medford, a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1946 and went on to attend Burdette College in Boston. He worked for the Registry of Motor Vehicles from 1946-1969 and then as a Clerk for the Somerville Court House from 1969-1983 before retiring at the age of 58. Paul was very proud of his family heritage, was an "Old School Family Man" and his family was the most important part of his life. He resided in Medford from 1925 -2002 and the past 11 years in Melrose. Paul was the beloved husband of Carol L. (Lundstedt) Skerry. Loving father of Paul A. Skerry, Jr., & his wife Natalie of NH, Peter J. Skerry & his wife Kathy of Danvers, Valerie C. Crowton & her husband Steve of NV, Maura A. Titus & her husband Rick of NY and the late Stephen P. Skerry. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth & Margaret Skerry. Caring brother of the late John L. Skerry, Michael F. Skerry (Former Speaker of the House), Peter N. Skerry, Mary C. Skerry, Noreen T. Riser, Patrick J. Skerry (Former Mayor of Medford) and Robert E. Skerry. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday, March 21st at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
