Paul F. Trainor Jr. died unexpectedly on Tuesady Jan. 29th at Massachusetts General Hospital at the age of 52. Paul was born in Redwood City CA, raised in Roslindale & Melrose, graduated from Melrose High Class of 1967 and Boston College. Paul has been a lifelong resident of Melrose. He worked in the Procurement Department for the Commonwealth of Mass for the past 15yrs and the past few years in the procurement department at the Registry of Motor Vehicles Division for the commonwealth. Paul has also worked for the past 12yrs for New England Motor Freight Company of North Reading. He was a member of the Malden Catholic Lancers Assoc., a former coach for the Melrose YMCA Basketball Program and an avid Patriots and sports fan. He was the husband of Peggy (Martin) Trainor. Father of Meredith L. Trainor of Everett, Paul F. Trainor III, John M. Trainor & Brian J. Trainor all of Melrose. Brother of Susan A. Turner of Malden, Gordon F. Trainor of Reading & Dolly Colomey of Merrimack NH. Son of the late Paul F. & Helen (Gordon) Trainor. Son-in-law of John & Louise Martin of Melrose. Nephew by marriage of Rev. Joseph I. Martin of Lima, Peru. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Feb. 2nd at 9:30AM. Funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 7-9PM, Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
