Paul M. Zirpolo, of Somerville, died at the Dedham Healthcare in Dedham on May 17, 2018 at the age of 70. Paul was born in Malden, raised in Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, he was a lifelong Somerville resident, worked as a Project Manager for the City of Somerville, where he was in charge of the Somerville High School renovations, the Teal Square Fire Station, West Somerville Community School and also the Healy School projects. Paul was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing and traveled the world while in the Navy. Paul was the beloved husband of Elaine S. (Burgess) Zirpolo. Loving father of Kerry Zirpolo & her husband Joe Squires of Melrose and Erin Trigilio & her husband Eric of Boylston. Cherished grandfather of Max Squires, Mia & Aria Trigilio. Also survived by brothers, sisters, relatives & friends. A Funeral Service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, June 3rd at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A 1st Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
