Paula C. (Quinlan) DeYoung passed away at Winchester Hospital on March 20, 2022. She was 82 years of age. Paula was born in Everett, on November 2, 1939 to the late William & Catherine (Buckley) Quinlan and has been a Melrose resident of Melrose for over 50 years. She worked for many years in healthcare as an administrative assistant. Paula was known for her quick wit and funny sense of humor. She was an avid reader of biographies, history and current events. She was truly self-educated through her life-long love of reading. Paula was a patron of the arts and loved going to musicals, operas, ballets and jazz performances with family and friends. She is a former member of Polymnia Choral Society in Melrose as well as the Colonial Chorus Players. Paula had a talent for talking to anyone and making them feel at ease. She was loved and will be missed. Paula was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. "Bob" DeYoung. Loving mother of Kimberly DeYoung & her husband Davis Jack of Melrose and Michelle DeYoung of New York City. Caring sister-in-law of Yvonne Zinfon, Elizabeth Schipani and Edward DeYoung. Caring cousin of Gretchen Eilertson & Leslie Skimmins. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Funeral service services will be private.
