Paula (Zani) Pellegrino, 68, of Melrose, Massachusetts (formerly of Cambridge, MA) passed away on October 3, 2023. Born on April 2, 1955, to Caesar and Florence Zani. Paula graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School in 1973. After high school, she went on to receive three master's degrees in education. She was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years. In 1978, she met the love of her life Paul Pellegrino, and they were married in 1980. Paula is predeceased by her parents Caesar and Florence Zani. Paula is survived by her husband Paul, sisters Linda Gorgone and Angela Zani, brother John Zani, son Nicholas Pellegrino & his wife Melissa, and granddaughter Isabella, and daughter Marissa Fossa & her husband Theodore.

Paula was an avid reader and loved reading all books. She passed this love along to her family and especially her granddaughter. She enjoyed spending her summers on Cape Cod relaxing at the beach and breathing in the salt air. At her core Paula was dedicated to her family. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her husband, children, granddaughter, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 4:00PM-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
