Obituary

Peter C. Puglisi 77, of Melrose, died on February 13, 2005 at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea after a lengthy illness. He was born in East Boston to the late Sam & Phyllis (Pistone) Puglisi. Peter was raised in Revere where he graduated from Revere High School. He earned his Professional Engineering degree from Northeastern University and worked as a mechanical engineer for Stone & Webster of Boston for 39 years. Peter was a WWII Navy veteran who served on the carrier Midway. Peter has been a resident of Melrose for the past 41 years. He was the devoted husband of Elaine T. (Cotreau) Puglisi, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Loving father of Denise L. Pizzano and her husband Charles of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of David C. & Nicole L. Pizzano, also of Melrose. Brother of Milly DiBlasi of Wakefield, Vincent Puglisi and his wife Pauline of Stoneham, and Caesar Puglisi and his companion Mary Tassineri of Winthrop. Also survived by many loving & caring nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, Feb. 17th at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at The Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10 AM. Family & friends invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 3-8 PM.
