Peter Stamegna, age 59, passed away peacefully on 4/23/2025 at the Medford Rehabilitation and Nursing center in Medford Mass.

Born on October 11, 1965 in Melrose Mass., Peter was known for his humor and warm smile. Peter spent his later years in the care of dedicated staff who came to know and appreciate him.

Peter loved tending to his garden, he found joy in nurturing his plants and flowers. He also enjoyed spending his time saltwater fishing creating cherished memories on the water.

Son of the late Barbara E. (Allen) Stamegna and the late Donald R. Stamegna Sr. Peter is brother to Susan Martin, the late Donald Stamegna Jr., Richard Stamegna, Nancie Gargano, the late Francis Stamegna, Joseph Stamegna, Betsy Spiro, and his twin brother Paul Stamegna. Peter will be remembered with love by his family and by those whose lives were touched by Peter's presence.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 9:00AM-10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
