Philomena A. "Phyllis" (Paolini Kline) Saia passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on June 29, 2013. She was 76 years of age. Phyllis was born in Revere, MA on February 9, 1937 to the late Alfred & Concetta (Malta) Paolini. She was raised in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. Phyllis was an extraordinary wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend who cherished spending time with family and loved ones. Her 2 sons were the highlight of her life. She adored children and worked at EMARC with those who were disadvantaged and challenged. Phyllis was a superb cook, thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker, and enthusiastically entertained company. Her bubbly, energetic, and cheerful nature was contagious to those around her. Phyllis was extremely warm and caring, always making herself available to others in times of need. She cherished her time at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester where she has summered with her family since 1971. She had an avid interest in keeping up with modern technology and was proficient on the computer. Phyllis was a resident of Melrose from 1969 to 2007, where she was a longtime member of Incarnation Church before moving to Lynnfield in 2007. Mrs. Saia has been the adored wife of Joseph J. Saia for the past 7 years. Predeceased by her late husband Frederick Kline & late husband Eugene Flynn. Devoted mom of Fred Kline & his wife Shelly of Brookline, NH, Robert Kline & his wife Susan of Middleton. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Wendy (Breen) Kline. Loving grandma of Shayli, Shanda, Rachel, Samantha, Joseph, Maria, Tori, Emily, Ed & Dan. Caring sister of Rocky Paolini of Lynnfiled, Sam Paolini of Acton, Al Paolini & Anna Kenney both of CA and Michael Paolini of Walpole. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, July 3rd at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
