Phyllis E. (Winsor) Abare, of Malden , formerly of South Pasadena, Fl, died at her home on Jan. 15, 2005 surrounded by family at the age of 77. Phyllis was born & raised in Everett, lived in Malden for over 24 years and South Pasadena, Fl for 18 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening & gospel music and was the beloved wife of Sidney B. Abare. Devoted daughter of the late James & Ethel (Hudson) Winsor. Loving mother of Marie A. Abare of Malden, Patricia L. DiLiegro & her husband John of Revere and Paul L. Abare & his wife Mary of Melrose. Cherished sister of Joan Farnsworth of Malden, Ruth Merchant & Claire Russell, both of Everett, Robert Winsor of Peabody and the late James Winsor. Caring grandmother of Fred Callinan, Jill Callinan, Julie Schmitt and Katie Abare. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A Funeral service will be held at the Maplewood Baptist Church 729 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday Jan. 19th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose from 3-8PM. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
