Phyllis L. Hannabury, of Malden, formerly of Melrose & Chelsea, died at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield on June 15, 2008 at the age of 90. Phyllis was born & raised in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1935. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Hale & Dorr Law Firm in Boston for 25 years before her retirement in 1985. Phyllis resided in Melrose for several years, Malden for 25 years and the past several years in Wakefield. She was a published author who loved politics, genealogy and enjoyed traveling to Ireland. Phyllis was an avid reader & knitter and the devoted daughter of the late Edward J. & Anna I. (Stevens) Hannabury. Cherished sister of Ralph Hannabury Sr. of Melrose and the late Edward, Francis & George Hannabury. Caring sister in law of Marie (Doris) Hannabury of Melrose and Carol Hannabury of Reading. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces & grandnephews. Funeral services are private. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
