Phyllis W. (McGrath) Mosher of Melrose passed away at the Beverly Hospital on Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at the age of 87. Born in Melrose to the late Edmund V. & Sarah W. (Bovin) McGrath, she was raised in Lynn graduating from St. Marys Grammar School & Girls High School of Lynn. She was a resident of Melrose for 50 years & then spent the last few months with her son Larry & his wife Joyce in their home in Beverly. Mrs. Mosher was a homemaker while raising her children & later worked in the business office at Malden Hospital & the McLean Hospital, an office clerk for 10 years at the General Electric of Lynn, & Service Way Insurance Co. of Melrose. She enjoyed knitting & needle crafts, baking, the North Shore Music Theatre, taking walks with her family on beaches in Gloucester, Wells Beach, Maine & Long Lake of New York. Phyllis received her drivers license at the age of 60 & loved to drive her Hyundai Excel to the grocery store. Loving mother of Christopher S. Mosher of Quincy, Stephen D. Mosher & his wife Joy of Cortland, NY, Lawrence V. Mosher & his wife Joyce of Beverly, & Nancy E. Mulcahy & her husband Walter of Natick. Grandmother of Matthew & Margo Mosher, David & John Current & his wife Kirsten Wielobob, Chasity, Edmund, Angela, Gregory Mosher & his wife Kate, Sarah, Alex, & David Mulcahy. Great grandmother of Kathlyn, Taylor, Randall, Aaron, Alex, Emelia, Madeline & Eli. Sister of the late Edmund V. McGrath, Jr. & his wife Catherine of Salem. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. Oct. 19th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Family & friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. from 4-8PM.
