Phyllis (Hessel) Ruvido died after a long illness Jan. 23rd at Epoch Senior Health Care in Melrose at the age of 82. Phyllis was born and raised in Malden, graduated from Malden High School, lived in Melrose for a few years and the past 30yrs in Wakefield. She was a health care worker for several local nursing homes and private homes for many years and had previously worked as an assembler at Transitron Co. in Melrose for 10yrs. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Ruvido who passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2001. She was a loving mother of Lawrence J. Ruvido & his wife Judith of Middleton, Richard J. Ruvido of Florida and Linda Demarco of Peabody. Sister of Catherine Richards of Malden and the late James Hessel & Dorothy D'Onofrio. Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren and many loving nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Jan. 26th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in Forest Glade Cemetery Wakefield
