Obituary

Phyllis C. (Cimaglia) Sarni passed away at her home, in Melrose, on December 8, 2005, she was 87. Phyllis was born in Boston, raised in Newton, graduated from Newton High School, attended Columbia University for 3 years and graduated from Boston University with a degree in Arts. Mrs. Sarni was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother & grandmother and has been a resident of Melrose for over 50 years. She was one of the founding members of Incarnation Church in Melrose, a former member of Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose and the Country Club of Boca Raton in Florida. For the past 30 years she wintered in Pompano Beach & Boca Raton in Florida. Phyllis was the wife of Mario J. Jack Sarni. Mother of James K. Sarni of FL, John Sarni & his wife Sarah of Andover, Deborah S. Grondin & her husband Richard of Wakefield and Ronald C. Sarni & his wife Patricia of Concord. Grandmother of Jonathan, John Paul, Jacqueline, Patrick, Jared, Anthony, Julia & Joseph. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday Dec. 12th at 8:30AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Monday morning from 8:309:30AM. Burial in Newton Cemetery in Newton Center. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the MSPCA c/o VP John Bowen, 350 S. Huntington Ave. Boston 02130.
