Phyllis R. Spadafora, 86, died at Cape Cod Hospital, Friday evening after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Melrose, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker who, working at home, was also a seamstress for the Vogue Doll Co in Malden. Being the wife of Former Melrose Firefighter William G. Spadafora, she was a member of the Fire Wives Club. Phyllis was the wife of the late William G. Spadafora. Mother of Phyllis R. Sommerfelt and her husband Richard of Sandwich. Grandmother of Wendy Geller of Littleton, CO, and Richard W. Sommerfelt of Vacaville CA. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St, Melrose on Sat Jan 5 at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the Funeral from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon.
