Pietro Cannella passed away at home in Melrose, on Nov.11th, at the age of 88. He was born and raised in Palermo, Italy, lived in Palermo most of his life and worked as a machinist in Italy. Pietro lived in Medford for a few years and Melrose the past 17 years. He was the husband of the late Angela (Macaluso) Cannella. Father of Antonino Cannella, Caterina Gambino, Elena LoDico, Rosalia Alicata all of Italy, Giuseppe Cannella of Stoneham, Tommasa Cannella of Melrose, Francesco Cannella of Wakefield, Pietra Sabouri of Melrose, Mattea Sostilio of Everett, Andrea Cannella of Salem Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Nov. 14th at 9 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited.
