Ralph A. DeSimone passed away at the Lahey Clinic North in Peabody on Jan. 8th at the age of 92. Ralph was born in Italy and came to the US at the age of 8. He was raised in the North End of Boston, lived in Malden for over 60 years and the past 4 years in Peabody. Ralph owned and operated the DiMauro Beauty Salon at 453 Washington St. Boston for 50 years. He was the husband of the late Gussie (Bova) DeSimone. Father of Ralph W. DeSimone & his wife Marilyn of N.Andover, Chee-Chee DiGiammarino & her husband Robert of Marblehead and Paul M. DeSimone & his wife Faye of Lynnfield. Brother of Alfred DeSimone & his wife Marie of Wakefield, Gilda Cocorocchio of Saugus, Mafalda 'Peggy' Rizzuto of Malden and the late Angie DiMauro & Julia DiNatale. Grandfather of Beth DeSimone of Andover, Scott DiGiammarino & his wife Shelley of VA, Craig DiGiammarino & his wife Rachel of VT, Rick DiGiammarino of Marblehead, Charles DeSimone of Lynnfield and the late Corinne DeSimone. Great grandfather of Amanda, Emma, Mason & Robert DiGiammarino. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday January 12th at 9AM. Funeral mass in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St. Malden, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery Malden.
