Ralph J. Ventola passed away at Hammer Smith House Nursing Care Center in Saugus, on January 2, 2007, he was 83. Ralph was born and raised in Revere, graduated from Revere High School and then Bentley College. After graduating from college, Ralph entered the US Army and served during WWII. Mr. Ventola worked as a machinist at the Charlestown Navy Yard for 33 years, retiring in 1988. He and his wife Gladys have been Malden residents for the past 59 years. Ralph loved to watch the Red Sox and was also a New England Patriots fan. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys C. (Polk) Ventola. Father of Stephen P. Ventola & his wife Joanne of Ipswich and Thomas F. Ventola & his wife Carrie of Oceanside, CA. Brother of Peter Ventola of NH. Grandfather of Stephanie White of Amesbury, Andrea Ventola of NH & James Ventola of Ipswich. Great grandfather of Noah, Jack & Max White. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday January 5th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 3-7PM.
