Richard M. DellaRusso died on Aug. 17th at the age of 67. Richard was born in Boston, raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High Class of 1951. He entered the US Army after high school and served as a paratrooper during the Korean War. Dick owned and operated Bay State Concrete Corp of Melrose for 30yrs. He lived in Melrose for 36yrs, was a member of Boston Plasters & Cement Mason's Union Local #534 and a longtime member of Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose. He was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (Jangro) DellaRusso. Loving father of Michael D. DellaRusso & his wife Tracy of Melrose, Mia DellaRusso of Charlestown, Richard J. DellaRusso & his wife Mary of NY City and Melissa D. McSweeney & her husband Kevin of Topsfield. Devoted brother of Joseph H. DellaRusso of Lynn, Evelyn Gregor and Carolyn Cawley both of CA. Loving grandfather of Rachel, Michaela, Julia, Sophia and Gabriella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday Aug. 20th at 9 AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation 429 Upham St. Melrose at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8PM.
