He was most passionate about his time spent with Rick and family, young and old. He enjoyed beach days in Rockport, clams and oysters in Ipswich, outings with friends in NYC and Nahant, cookouts, family parties, cheering on his great nieces and nephews sporting events, poker, scrabble game nights, and a good glass of wine. Rick's quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and genuine love for his family and friends were evident to all who knew him.

Rick is survived by his loving husband Richard Turner, with whom he shared 40 loving years together. He is also survived by his brother Michael and his wife Carla Hilden of Plymouth, MA. Rick was the loving in law to Donald and Marcia Turner of Ipswich, Lawrence and Debbie Turner of Florida, Jane (Turner) Russell of Melrose, Diane Turner and the late Stephen Turner of Melrose, Janet Turner and the late William Turner of Reading. Rick is predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Mary (Galvin) Hilden, sisters; Michele Willard and Irene Kaufenberg, in laws Ruth (Turner) and David Powers and Phillip Turner.
