Richard David York of Melrose passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2022. He was 54 years of age. Rick enjoyed reading and music. He played guitar and was also learning to play keyboards. He was born In Dorchester on February 29, 1968, to Phyllis M. York and the late Richard C. York. He was raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1986. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and worked in the financial services industry. Rick was the cherished brother of Jeanne Solaas and her husband Arnold of Deltona Florida, Thomas and his wife Ann of Braintree, Christopher York and his wife Elizabeth of Worcester, and Susan York of Carver. He was the uncle of Kristin, Samuel, Samantha, Nicholas, and Allie. He was the nephew of several loving aunts and uncles. The memorial services will be private.
