Robert A. Avola, of Melrose, passed away on November 7, 2021 at the age of 61. Bob was born in Melrose on August 28, 1960 to Angelo and Elizabeth (Carpenito) Avola. Bob was raised in Melrose and attended Melrose High School. He then attended Northeast Aero Tech which later transitioned him to aircraft mechanic and later became President of American Airlines Union. Later in life he went to Salem State to become a personal trainer and owned Muscles Unlimited in Revere for many years. Bob loved to play golf any chance he could, if he was not golfing, he was up in Maine at the lake house and on the boat. He was a fitness fanatic you could find him working out or running especially with his daughter MarthaRose. He truly loved all three of his children they are the greatest accomplishment of his life. He was the loving father of Robert Jr, Carmen, and MarthRose Avola, and former husband Susan Avola of Danvers. Son of Angelo (Deceased) and Elizabeth Avola. Brother of Diane DiPrizio and her husband Michael of Revere. Uncle of Anthony DiPrizio, Michelle Micheli and Salvatore DiPrizio of Revere. He is also survived by his best friend and neighbor, Eric Meredith of Melrose, and many other dear friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose, on Tuesday, November, 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
